Lagos State Water Corporation: Stakeholder/CSO Interaction Policy

The Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) are a series of 8 (eight) time-bound development goals, agreed in September 2000 by the international community including Nigeria, to be achieved by the year 2015. MDG 7, target 10 aims to “Halve, by 2015 the proportion of people without sustainable access to safe drinking water and basic sanitation”. According to the MDG Report 2006, only 51.1% of Nigerians have access to safe drinking water and a shocking 33% have access to basic sanitation.
